"Another Frenchman, like d'Indy, who follows in the Germanic tradition, as evidenced by the rich and complex harmonies. Chausson is a wonderfully Romantic composer, whose works are reminiscent of Scriabin. If you like one, you'll definitely like the other.



You will also like this recording. There's quite a lot of reverberation, but not too much. If you prefer this sort of resonance over what many modern music halls provide (like me), you'll be more than satisfied. The orchestra delves into this rich sonority with heart and warmth. Great music making from conception to performance. I give it a high recommendation for lovers of late Romanticism."
