Cerebral and swinging at all times, this is one of those rare recordings that captures a perfect moment in time. Dresser's warm, incredibly virtuosic and senstivie bass playing and Thigpen's sensitive percussion are perfect foils for Watson's improvisiations, and the recording quality is as good as I have ever heard. Really a wonderful recording. " |
