CD Reviews

A Must Have !!!

"This is the second time I am writing a review for this album, but it is worth it. I assume my first review got lost 'in the mail' because I have waited the 5 - 7 business days for it to be posted and I ain't seeing it. Anyways, on to the matter at hand. This CD is fantastic. This might be the CD where I find out that you can actually wear out a CD. Eric is a powerful and artistic trumpet player. The band is tight and the recording quality is excellent. Please do not let the price scare you away. Imagine how many CDs you have bought where the majority of the material was a let down. This isn't one of those. You won't be disappointed if you appreciate energetic, screamin' big band. I am anxiously awaiting CD # 2 from this guy."
A Must Have !!!!!!

"This CD is great from beginning to end. This is one of those rare CDs where you leave it in your changer and wear it out. And better yet, the quality of the recording is as good as the music and musicianship itself. If you appreciate big band/jazz and some powerful lead trumpet playing, you got to have this. You won't be disappointed. This is testosterone driven trumpet playing that sizzles - none of that squeaky, pinched, weak crap. I can't wait till the next album. Songs include A Night in Tunisia, Get It On, and a bunch of swingin'/smokin' originals. I know I sound like a salesman working for Miyashiro, but thats not the case. If there were sound bytes available on this site, you would hear what I am talking about. Come on Eric, I am waiting for the next one. Do have at it......."

"This has to be he greatest jazz album I have ever listened to--I like all of the songs. It even has Eric Miyashiro's version of the national anthem!"
