Synopsis

Product Description
Go across the universe and back with Eric Herman on his fifth CD of cool tunes for kids and families. What a Ride! is an amazing musical journey through childhood and beyond that includes several catchy earworms (Heartbeat, Stink Bug, Come Play), interactive fun tracks (Ants in Your Pants #99, How to Move a Monster) and even songs that explore the meaning and size of life, the universe and everything (What a Ride, How Big, Extraordinary).
Herman, best known for his hit video for The Elephant Song (over 6 million views on YouTube), branches out into a lot of new musical territory on What a Ride!, and enlists the help of several kindie rock friends, including Gwendolyn Sanford of Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang, Robbi K, Chris Wiser of Sugar Free Allstars, Eric Ode, David Tobocman, Glenn Colton, Tito Uquillas of The Hipwaders and Mr. Billy.
To quote the title track... take a while to laugh and smile and say, hey, What a Ride!

What an album!

"If you haven't checked out Eric Herman and his Invisible Band before... well, you have some catching up to do. But here's a good place to start.

This is a terrific album that has become an overnight sensation with my 2-year-old (who might arguably be Eric Herman's biggest fan aside from members of his immediate family). She is particularly taken with How to Move a Monster (which she has made me play on repeat overandoverandover) and Stink Bug, which makes her laugh every time. And we're both big fans of How Big Is Your World.

Thing is, you can't be sad while listening to an Eric Herman CD. They're all these whimsical, engaging, often funny songs. I catch myself listening to his albums in the car even when my daughter isn't with me. It's upbeat music that's not cloying or oversimplified. More along the lines of the artists in the For The Kids CDs (Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants, etc.).

I have no idea how Eric isn't more famous yet. I know The Elephant Song is a YouTube phenomenon, but there is sooo much more of his music to love (and if ya ask me, the second version of that song-- with his own kids-- is even cooler).

But I digress. Point is, buy this album. You're welcome. :)
