"This album is the classic of all classics. There is not a song on it that I don't love! A one-of-a-kind recording that can never be repeated. It sure will bring you back to the good old days of your youth (If you're about 50 years old!). Eric Clapton at his finest. A must-have no matter what age you are. Buy it now!!! You cannot go wrong."

"layla and other assorted love songs is pure and simple a truely great love album. Eric Clapton had fallen so head over heals for George Harrison's wife that he had to express his feelings and the only way he could was to write beautiful songs like he did on this album. The title track "Layla" stands out as probably Eric Clapton's best song ever. The guitar is claptonesque and the lyrics are so deep and desperate. I personally have never heard a song of this type where its so hard at the beggining then completely changes into a great piano ballad. I would probably say that Layla is the greatest rock ballad of all time, and really was the pioneer of all of the eighties love ballads to come. This album is simplistic and arranged so beautiful. Clapton really did not plan any of this out, it seems almost like it just came to him one day and these are songs that he wrote in minutes perhaps. this album really does kick ass, its so good, and i put it right up there with any dylan or beatles album because it has that classic feel to it that you can't go wrong with....clapton is god on guitar, just thought i would add that"

"this is im my opinion the best damn album ever. Duanne Allman and EC with delaney and bonnie. wow. they sold fairly well even though EC was trying to keep the identity of the players clandestine."
