Synopsis

Album Description
In Latin America, surrealism and the metaphysical intersect with daily life at greater frequency than in the far more materialistic El Norte. This social environment is perhaps more conducive to an aesthetic life in spite of high unemployment and less opportunity overall. The charms of life in Latin America are evident via the vivaciously enchanting sound of Entre Rios. One listen to Onda (Wave), recorded during the southern hemisphere summer, January and March 2005, and you?ll agree, the Buenos Aires trio is quite simply the greatest electronic pop group on the planet. We?ve adored much of the trendy, melodic electronic music of late but quite frankly we wish it had just a little bit of soul, a bit more sabor. Entre Rios has it. Often compared and contrasted as a more melodic Lali Puna or a more experimental Saint Etienne, Entre Rios works in the present, making the freshest, new pop music. 2005.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Sweet Buenos Aires. Entre Rios (Between Rivers) changed his musical formula and it works perfectly. Synths, delicated sounds and the most incredible female voice of Argentina make one of the best pop albums of the year. Dear 'indiepopers' friends, if you like Postal Service, Lali Puna, and things like than..well, this is better."
