CD Reviews

Much Better than the Original!

"Rarely do I listen to a track on Amazon and feel almost forced by the song's greatness to buy it (note to Amazon: if you actually let the full song play out, maybe people might get more of a feel for the album and buy it). This is the one exception. These songs are mind blowing. Literally. Just listen to the mix of "Sadness" and tell me that they haven't improved the songs! That track is by far the best (imagine the best party or rave in your life with the best DJ known to man and that's Sadness remixed), but all of the songs are furious! This is a cd to play loud when the parents or the kids (at whichever stage you are in life!) are out. I love Enigma and for years I've thought that they were the best thing in music of the modern era. This cd just confirms that and more. It's great for workout music or just to trance out. Gorgeous chants, hard core bass thumping beats, and all of the imagery and technique of Enigma. What more could you ask for?"
Uh, no. Save your money!

"Aside from maybe one or two songs on this album, it sucks. Plain and simple. This album just has no soul and the sound majority of it is just pure rubbish. At best it's a new rendezvous with an old fling. For at most two songs.

I would seriously try to talk you out of buying this album unless you are simply an Enigma collector that MUST have it.

My feeling is that everything Enigma has done after the second album is rubbish but because that first one was so good, I'm always hoping that they will, ahem, return to innocence. ;) But I'm always disappointed (it just gets worse and worse with every release) when I buy the latest offering. If that's how you feel then this album should get no consideration from you. There's no happy ending here.

And will someone please tell the guy to quit trying to sing??? It's like with each album he's singing more and more. Doesn't he understand that he is an AWFUL vocalist? Obviously not.

Save your money. :)"
