CD ReviewsEngelbert's 'Brits' album Jean Marie Andre Vanderhaegen | Australia | 11/12/2007 (3 out of 5 stars) "The Winding Road Engelbert 's interpretations indicate he is still in fine voice and can match it with the best.The album's cover artwork in my opinion is very poor and the front picture of the artist is certainly one of the worst I've ever seen.Overall I'm a big fan of Engel's earlier Decca and European BMG recordings of the 60's,70's, 80's & 90's because of their orchestral accompaniment.His later recordings including this one lack the UMPH !!!! to go with his powerful voice.Not a bad effort however." It is a family effort as Scott is the Associate Producer, Louise and Bradley do background vocals on several songs. The accompaniment is extremely well done and Enge's voice is superb.
