"Wow, I feel in love with this band, because of this album. I think it is the perfect album to start with if you want to get to know how these guys sound has evolved during the years. It is a great album, and as a fan of 5 years and counting, i hope that one day many people will experience the great sound that these guys produce album after album. Just answer this, name another band that has had four great albums in a row? In this age of one hit wonders, it is great to see a band that never quits, and just gets better with age, like wine."

"EMMET SWIMMING IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN AMERICA. IF YOU ARE FROM THE EAST COAST YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF EMMET SWIMMING, BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT THEN BUY THIS CD NOW! IT IS NOT MAIN STREAM MUSIC, SO IT WILL HAVE TO GROW ON YOU, BUT TRUST ME, IT WILL SOON BE A FAVORITE. TODD WATTS GIVES THE MUSIC LIFE WITH HIS VOICE. YOU CAN FEEL THE EMOTION, THIS IS WHAT MUSIC IS SUPPOST TO BE. I FIRST HEARD THIS CD IN NORFOLK, VIRGINIA. THEN I SAW THEM LIVE AT THE BAYOU IN NORFOLK. THAT SHOW IN MAY OF 1995 WAS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN! THEY DID THREE SETS AND PLAYED EVERY SONG FROM WAKE AND THEIR FIRST ALBUM DARK WHEN THE SNOW FALLS. THEY ARE A MUST SEE LIVE. I SUGGEST TAKING A TRIP JUST TO SEE THEM PLAY. EMMET SWIMMING MAY NEVER BE A SUPERBAND LIKE PEARL JAM, BUT MOST PEOPLE ARE DUMB AND EMMET SWIMMING IS NOT FOR DUMB PEOPLE. JOIN IN ON THE SECRET AND OPEN A BOTTLE OF BOONES FARM WINE."

"This cd is great! I always love listening to the somewhat early stuff from es! The band is even better live and I miss them so much since they have stopped touring. Anyone who gives this cd 5 to 10 minutes will love it!"
