Synopsis

Album Description
Dying to get a great new CD? But don't know what to get? Emily Olu shines bright on The Light. Acting as writer and co-producer, this acclaimed singer/songwriter has outdone herself with this collection of songs. Emily?s years of live performance and song writing skill shines through on this album. It rings of curiosity and wanting to try new things, but above all, it rings honest and true. Recorded in Boston, The Light is a collection of all-new, self-penned material. ?Swept Away,? the stirring first single combines pop, rock and gospel and features a host of top musicians. That list includes Richie Goods on Bass (former Brian McKnight MD, he also supported Alicia Keys on her current album Songs in A minor and Whitney Houston on Learned from the best). SWEPT AWAY is due out the beginning of April and we predict it will move rapidly on radio, MTV, and VH1. THE LIGHT releases June 10.

"What an amazing debut album. "Swept Away" has literally swept me away. A friend of mine in Boston heard Emily Olu sing and told me I had to have this album and he was right. I have been playing it non-stop. Emily Olu's soothing and soulful voice lures you into her music. I can't wait to hear more from this new, upcoming artist and look forward to her full album. This lady has definitely got what it takes."
