Elvis Presley recorded a great amount of material while he was alive and has released a great deal of material since his death in 1977. The repackaging of America's most famous rock singer has been spotty. For every decent collection that includes liner notes and great sound, there's another that slaps together any old thing any old way. This collection is far inferior to the 25- track If Every Day Was Christmas, but for those looking for a brief, nine-track retrospective (that includes "Christmas Message from Elvis") of Elvis Christmas music, this is as good as any budget repackage. --Rob O'Connor

A rare holiday

"For Elvis trackspotters and completists, 5 of the 9 tracks here are previously unreleased versions, as you'll note. This is the only place on Earth to get the almost 8-minute version of Merry Christmas Baby (outlasting the standard release by about 2 1/2 minutes). For the novice, you could certainly have a decent (if short) party with this CD, as "Blue Xmas," "Santa Claus is Back" and "Merry Xmas Baby" are all here. Mostly from the '71 sessions. Docked a star for not being a $7.99 cheapie, having only 9 tracks (the price ain't Amazon's fault, I paid about the same for mine)."
I have all of Elvis' cds and they mostly have the same songs

"I have all of Elvis' christmas cd's and it seems like they all have the same songs on them...don't get me wrong i just love Silver Bells, and of course the classic Blue Christmas, but it would have been nice to add some more classics on any of them,,,"
