It features unreleased and alternate takes of non-soundtrack recordings Elvis cut in Nashville 1966-68. Vocally, Elvis never sounded better and many of these tracks showcase his raw, powerful voice in all it's glory. Includes 'I'll Remember You', 'Going Home', 'Too Much Monkey Business', 'Guitar Man' and many more.

"With this new release the Follow That Dream label completes its rewarding survey of Elvis Presley's recording sessions in RCA's studio "B" in Nashville. With the previous CDs ("Fame and Fortune", "Studio B", and "Long Lonely Highway") "So High" disproves, if anything, the often repeated remarks that Presley's best days were over once he joined the army and that the 1960's were a period of artistic insignificance dominated by mostly dreadful formula movies. On the contrary, Elvis did record some excellent material in that decade and these outtakes from 1966-1968 perfectly illustrate the enthusiasm, care and skill - undoubtedly reinforced by the presence of Felton Jarvis who appeared as Elvis's producer from then on - that went into these sessions. Otherwise it would be hard to explain the existence of gems like Dylan's "Tomorrow Is A Long Time", the classic "Love Letters", Jerry Reed's "Guitar Man", and "Hi-Heel Sneakers", not to mention the superb gospel songs like "Stand By Me", "Somebody Bigger Than You And I" and "We Call On Him".
With 25 cuts in outstanding sound quality, this CD runs over 74 minutes. Essential listening."

"This "fan club" release features alternate takes of songs Elvis recorded in Nashville between May 1966 and January 1968. This is some of the most underrated material of Elvis' career. The wonderful How Great Thou Art album was recorded during this time. Other great songs like "Guitar Man" and "U.S. Male" are here. These alternate takes will be of interest to Elvis fans, plus you get to hear Elvis talking before the songs sometimes (including cursing up a storm before "Too Much Monkey Business")."
