This is one of the most incredible CDs I've ever listened to, and I've listened to quite a lot. This is the CD that turned me on to jazz music, a genre that I've never really been into. I've listened to it every day since I got it from Swapacd 2 months ago.

A DISGRACE TO A GREAT SINGER!!!

"Ella Fitzgerald has been called 'The First Lady Of Song.' And that title is fitting. Her voice was beautiful and very mellow. There isn't a lyric Ella can't sing. She's that good.

Madacy Records has been issuing artists like Billie Holiday and Freddy Fender CDs in their 'Golden Legends' series. They take 14 or 15 of their best songs and put them on one CD for a special low price. Sounds excellent, right?

Wrong. The sound quality on this CD is terrible. This does Ella no justice at all.

Do yourself a favor and buy 'Pure Ella' or '20th Century Masters.' The sound quality on both is simply incredible, and you can really appreciate Ella. But avoid this one at all costs.
