"Interesting solo koto pieces by several well-known, contemporary Japanese composers. Includes works for standard 13-string koto as well as for 17- and 21-string. No classical pieces - you won't be hearing the "same old stuff" on this CD. (Those with a particularly sensitive ear may notice that the tuning is just a shade off in one or two of the pieces, but this will not detract from your enjoyment of them.)"
