"A few years ago a friend shared a song of Elisa's with me during a really difficult time and I loved it. Recently I was watching one of my favorite shows "Dancing with the Stars" and one of the girls was auditioning to Elisa's song "Rock Your Soul" and of course they didn't name the song so I had to go by the lyrics and then try to find it. I was so excited to find the song as well as finding out it was the same person that my friend had shared and the same CD so I ended up purchasing it.



I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!! Thanks Elisa!!!

Angelic and tranquil, a blessed album from a true phenomenon

"Elisa's beautiful album `The Comes the Sun' shows so much progression from her earlier works she almost comes off as a brand new artist. Her voice is so elegant and sophisticated here, lace with that raw breathlessness that helps establish her emotions, delving into our person and giving us haunting lyrics that break us down and then build us up. What I guess I'm trying to say is that what Elisa has accomplished here is moments of pure emotional captivity. The listener gets lost within her music, within her expression and ultimately within her soul. We can feel her, every inch of her, and that is pretty much all we can ever ask of a particular artist. Engulf us in your vision and move us to feel something. Elisa does just that with just about every cut on this album.



She starts off very strong with `Rainbows', delivering a powerful chorus that cuts right through us. She moves right along into `Heaven out of Hell' which is a bit softer than her opening, a bit more commercial. Her pre-chorus is really what makes the song, multiple voices overlapping one another and creating an angelic vocal. She also attempts a sort of rap towards the end that surprisingly comes off well. The third track is really what makes this album an ultimate must have. `Dancing' is probably one of the most emotionally moving songs I've ever heard. It brought me to tears the first time I heard its majesty and its one song that I listen to again and again. The piano matches her voice brilliantly and the chorus just sends chills up and down my spine. As the song reaches its climax and her voice rises with the music it transcends its powerful presence to an even higher realm of brilliance.



With `Fever' she breaks away from the ballad and takes on a more rock edge, Paula Cole`ish' maybe. It works for the most part, but I must admit to preferring her ballad work. Thankfully she, for the most part, sticks to the songs that really amplify her angelic voice. We find her breaking the mold with the track `Time' where she tries her hand at an almost techno club type track, and sadly I must warn that this track is a complete mess. Thankfully not every venture for her is a misstep. With `It is What it Is' she finally masters melding her beautiful voice with the harsher music, the pulsing beats and makes up for the mess that is `Time'.



But, like I mentioned, her ballad work is the real beauty of this album. In `Stranger' she proves this ten times over. Her vocals within her chorus are just breathtaking. This love song is aided by the near yodel in her voice which helps elevate it as one of the more memorable songs. `Rock Your Soul' is another track that stands out. Her voice is so soothing here, and the lyrics are very tranquil and moving. It's a very beautiful song. Speaking of beautiful, `A Little Over Zero' is just so serene and peaceful, from the musical arrangement to the silky smooth delivery in her voice. It's definitely one of the most impressive tracks here. `Fairy Girl' is soft and sweet while `Simplicity' closes out the album flawlessly, but it's `Window' that I want to make special mention of for it's one of those tracks that really allows Elisa's voice to soar brilliantly.



So, in the end I just can't recommend enough this brilliant album. It is not flawless, for there are one or two tracks that are less than perfect, but when the balance of the album is as good as this is you easily forget the low spots."

"I first heard the song "Dancing" on "So You Think You Can Dance" last year and knew that I had to find out who the artist was and where I could buy the CD. Elisa sings with a voice like few others, and puts her entire heart and soul into her music. I highly recommend purchasing this CD. It's too bad that someone with such talent and vocal beauty is not well known, because anyone who has not heard her sing is really losing out on something special."
