Performed by the incomparable Li-Wei and accompanied by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Nicholas Braithwaite, this recording sings of unequivocal heartbreak. Also featured is the song Cycle Sea Pictures For Mezzo-Soprano and Orchestra, which evokes the beauty and the excitement of the sea, along with the prelude from the kingdom, an oratorio of great lyrical splendour.
