An amazing debut that bears repeated listening

""Comes Love" by Elaine Dame is a breath of fresh air. Ms. Dame's voice is flawless, but she's about much more than mere technique. Elaine Dame has soul, passion, and emotional authenticity - which infuse everything she sings. Some of the slow ballads, such as "What'll I Do?" and "Comes Love" are so beautiful they might take your breath away. Ms. Dames choice of material is wonderful, too. Her take on "Ticket to Ride" avoids cliches in achieving something fresh; "If I Were a Bell" is filled with joy; and "Best Is Yet to Come" seems to be her message that "Elaine Dame has arrived!"

If you enjoyed the recent albums by baby-boomer singers who have done "classics" albums, do yourself a favor and listen to THIS. Elaine Dame and her band will blow you away with the heart and soul you hear in every song. The band here is truly superb, and uses 100% REAL instruments. Do yourself a favor, and give this woman a listen."

"I have had the privledge of seeing Elaine perform in person many times...in fact, she was our singer at our wedding. Elaine is simply wonderful! she has an amazing voice. The first two tracks especially on this CD are so great...the CD gets better every single time i listen to it. If you like jazz, frank sinatra, tony bennet, or nat king cole, you will like this CD."
