Synopsis

Product Description
Eilidh is a native of the Island of Lewis where her family provided her with a constant source of musical influence and inspiration. Eilidh and her sister Gillian are both National Mod Gold Medal winners. This is Eilidh's first solo recording. She is accompanied on it by some of today's brightest musicians and singers and this, combined with Robin Morton's imaginative and sympathetic production, makes for unpredictable and fresh treatments of the traditional and original songs (some composed by Eilidh herself). The Scotsman abounds in the kind of crystal-clear sounds that break down the language barriers.

"This is a class-A album for all lovers of good gaelic music and for newcomers to this wonderful culture. She now sings with her sisters as Mackenzie (www.mackenziemusic.com) - brilliant album (Camhanach) and unique live sound."

"It's great. Her voice is great. It's so sweet, so clean, so different from many others. I love her voice. It's a voice of an adult mixed with a child voice. GREAT!!!"
