Even people in the know are only aware of "While We're Young", "I'll Be Around", and "It's So Peaceful in the Country". For years, I thought he only wrote ballads. This album, along with the sets by Marlene Ver Planck, Vic Juris, Marion McPartland, and Jackie and Roy Kral have opened my ears to the beauty and complex magic of Wilder's work. Loonis McGlohon is close to the tastiest accompanist in the business today and he keeps Ms. Farrell swinging. Anyone intersted in the finest American music needs to check out this set."
