Album Description
"The Pleasure of Action", the highly anticipated 3rd independent release from Egodog, continues in the tradition of their 2000 "Words Are Kerosene" EP by opting for quality over quantity, offering five powerfully hook-laden songs. Teaming again with co-producer Matt Chidgey, Egodog proves again that a heavy band can also be melodic and respectful of a well-crafted song. The heavy and defiant "Whether" hints of production in the Tool/Filter vein, but the opening track, "My Wonderful World" (sung by guitarist Mike McManus) also offers flavors of Egodog influences like Foo Fighters and U2. "The Pleasure of Action" sets a standard for modern heavy bands who aspire to make timeless, lasting hard rock.
