A dramatic cerebral work out

"This is one of the most challenging and dramatic CDs I have ever heard. It starts off with a three part work that is an incredibly intense cerebral work out. Free Play is jazz as interpreted by a classically trained pianist/composer. It is apparently mostly improvised but it doesnt sound like it. Anyone who can improvise highly syncopated three part jazz fugues has a brain way too big for his skull. It doesnt swing hard but it burns fierce. I played the first track for a friend and he said that that music hurts his brain. By the look on his face I believe it. I can actually feel my cerebrum tingling physically when I listen to it. Its not all intense though, theres a few mellow, spanish-flavored tunes. The playing by all is top-notch. Too bad its out of print. This on is a masterwork. If I lost my copy I'd pay $100 for another."
