(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is really two CDs in one. The first ten tracks are mellow and soothing and should be listened to at about 1 am in the morning.
The (bonus) five live tracks make me wish I was at the Quattro Club in Tokyo for the recording; but since I wasn't this is the next best thing. These tracks fully exploit the tremendous range of Eddi's fabulous voice. They leave the listener believing that Eddi's voice, very much like a loaded 747 on climb-out, has much more power available in reserve for emergencies.
I hadn't heard "Kiteflyers Hill" before (shame on me) but have already added it to my top ten all time best songs.
The disk ends with Eddi asking "What does it take to make you happy?" In my case the answer is, a new disk from Eddi Reader - and this is certainly it!
Tonight I'll again pop it in the CD player, sit back and let Eddi's rich tones wash over me. For the 68 minutes it will take to listen to this CD I'll reflect on the fact that, life, at least, just got a little bit better."
