DOOM, DOOMIER, and DOOMIEST

"I just listened to the new EARTHRIDE release, "Taming of the Demons." This album is awesome! I've never heard such incredibly unique riffs and wild stylings from a doom metal band. Each track can stand on its own. I've read about the band members on their website and realize this is their first, full album. I'm going to WEAR THIS CD OUT and I'm looking forward to their next release already. The track "TRAIN WRECK" is like a tornado coming down the track heading for a cataclysmic end. HEAVY, DOWN and DIRTY DOOM at its doomiest!"
This is killer doom

"Earthride is one of those bands that surprised me when I first heard them. They have that ultra-heavy crushing sound, but still write really good, strong riffs that aren't dumb. This album is definetly a source of inspiration for my own band and my guitar playing, so pick up this album if you wanna hear some doom metal that doesn't drone on and on like a lot of those bands out there. For a comparison, Earthride has the musical sensibility of Spirit Caravan, but the heaviness of Electric Wizard or Warhorse. Very cool for a relatively new band - hails!"

"Yeah, "Taming of the Demons" is a killer- Sabbth's "Master of Reality" fussed with Motorhead's "Rock N Roll". But, as of this writing, Earthride's second album "Vampire Circus" has long since been completed but, for some reason, Southern Lord is STILL sitting on it. Please write to Southern Lord at info@southernlord.com and urge them to release it! From what I have heard from "Circus" sessions it promices to be even better than "Demons". (And, while you're at it, ask them to hurry up with their rerelease of Saint Vitus "Live" as well!)
