There's precious little info about them in english on the web, even on pages devoted to progressive and psychedelic music. Suffice it to say that Earth and Fire were a very underrated (at least outside of Holland) Dutch progressive psych band with an awesome female vocalist. The sound is unique, but I would recommend this for fans of Shocking Blue, Arthur Lee's Love and early Jefferson Airplane." Minus catchy tunes... Keep in mind that this is their first album, and later the band ventured into prog for real (up to a certain extend, however): "Song of the marching children" (Song of the Marching Childrenand "Atlantis" (Atlantis) show classical music-influenced melodies AND - exceptional organ. Just exceptional. But, still, it's still easy listening, and the worst about the band are vocals: unashamed SUNSHINE POP, too sweet to digest...
