CD Reviews

The Dwarves defy everyone and do it again...
Brandon Davis | Venice, CA United States | 01/26/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Just when we thought we'd heard the last of The Dwarves, they release this one from out of nowhere. Not only is it their most professional (you can hear their evolution from garage punk) but it's also track by track the most complete. There's less of an all out brute force sound to this one. It's more refined, but still definately those delightfully mysogynistic Dwarves. You either love them or hate them. "I Will Deny" and "The Crucifixion is Now" are my two favorite tracks, though every one of them stands on its own well."
Just a tease of the talent that lies within...

"My best suggestion to any/everyone in respect to the Dwarves, is--Listen between the lines...Take an interest in the bass player's talent that knows no boundaries. Trust me on this! "without his match, there is no flame," and as I once read," A mouth without a kiss is just a worthless hole"--how true. Certainly 'punk' and psychadelic, however, to make one's mark, you must be one step ahead of the rest. Beyond his own years in talent, the band is lucky to have such an inspiring, gifted attribute. Thank Heaven for days spent in the rain in an old garage. Keep up the great work and PLAY--HARD!!!"
Do not deny this
