"Thrifty mr. Kickstar" was dryve's first national release which showcases dryve's musical dynamics and diversity, profound lyrics, and well crafted songwriting talents. The sound has been compared to the obvious being The Wallflowers, Tom Petty, and R.E.M. but it also had the occasional bite of a Led Zeppelin or Zoo-T.V. era U2. For many, "Thrifty..." is one of those well rounded albums in the top ten favorites list somewhere next to Abbey Road,The Joshua Tree, and Hotel California.

Hard Christian Rock similar sound to the Wallflowers

"Dryve is a great band! Thrifty Mr. Kickstart has fast paced rock tunes to moving ballads complete with harmonica and hammond organ. Subject matter focus on issues all of us face such as why am I here? What is my purpose? Who can I trust? Thrifty Mr. Kickstart leaves you no doubt that God is there for you always! A great album for young adults facing tough struggles."

"I have over 250 CDs, and this nearly unknown jewel tops them all. The songs are just a plain joy to listen to. The music is both soothing and emotional and the songs are fantastic to sing along to. It's hard to compare this CD with any other, although I'd say Dryve's music is comparable to the Wallflowers, Old 97s, and U2. I couldn't praise this band or the CD enough. I bet you'll come to the same conclusion."

"This is a Musthave.. :D I bought it a coulpe of weeks ago.. having downloaded "Rain" before.. and I must say.. it's really great.. I like the hammonds and the harmonicas.. This is a CD you play whilst being happy, being sad.. reading, falling asleep, talking to your friends.. quite simply friends.. bye it :)"
