No music has ever touched me as profoundly as my first experience with what it came out of the clarinet played by a soft-spoken, scholar-looking jazz artist,who was gifted with a distinctive spirit. Dr.White plays his music with deep feelings, and his style of interpretation sets him apart from others in classical jazz. His music is always presented with great sensitivities, passions and respect to the tradition, through which one can imagine how New Orleans jazz might have been experienced in the old days. This CD represents Dr. White's musical talents in preserving the beauty and spirit of traditional jazz in modern time."
