CD Reviews

Peaceful, Relaxing, Beautiful

"We were fortunate enough to meet Doug and Sandy McMaster on our recent trip to the beautiful garden island of Kaua'i. Both are such gifted musicians with a love and deep respect for the slack key masters who originated much of this music, and you can hear it in the recording. Set against the sounds of the beautiful surf of Hanalei Bay, this music will instantly relax you and put you right on the beach. Perfect when you are looking for something to fall asleep to. Doug's touching adaptation of "Puff the Magic Dragon" is a real highlight, but you'll love the whole thing. If you're in Kaua'i, be sure to visit them for their daily sunset shows, but if you can't make it there, this CD is the next best thing."

"Not only is this wonderful music played so nicely, but it's kind to people who want to play long too - if you don't mind tuning your guitar or uke to G#, you can keep it tuned that way for the whole album."
