"I was astounded when I first started listening to this album. It is almost genuinely creepy, yet still powerful. The singer is awesome - falsetto whispers combined with black metal shrieks; disparate layers assaulting you from everywhere as they seek to rip your mind apart. Some people that have heard it from me see a resemblance to Dani Filth, but I think that is a misguided and somewhat demeaning comparison. From what I can tell, any similarities come from both singers using strange, high-pitched vocals. The guitars and drums are heavy and well-placed, keeping the pace nicely. Occasionally, acoustic parts or violins will arise from the music, helping to create an even further enchanting atmosphere.
I really can't describe this band, it is so utterly unique. The only problem I could conceivably have with this album is that a few songs are strange acoustic pieces that have the singer whispering throughout them. They are interesting, but they feel like filler. Yet they do not diminish the album whatsoever."
