CD Reviews

Ah the good o'l daze...

"This album is one that even though I have had it for several years I can always go back and listen to it. It is basically their Self-Titled cd but without one track(can't remember which one but it was redone on More than Conquerors). Except for a couple songs that were kind of mediocre, every other song on here is incredible. The lyrics are fantastic and are filled with such emotion and the songs deal with real issues that affect people lives daily. Although the production quality is lacking, the songs are so good that it makes up for it. Its too bad they have had to go through so many lineup changes and I think that this old stuff is much better than their newest release Seismic. Anyways if you're a new Dogwood fan that wants to see how they used to be then be sure to pick this up."
Punk Rock at it's best

"Simply put, Dogwood is the best punk band around, especially in the christian scene. These guys just rock and this old stuff, though not as good as the new, is awesome. So if you like fast punk with good vocals (none of that new school whiny stuff) order this, it's the sheol!"
RAW AND ROCKING!!

"Yep. The title pretty much says it all for this album. I can't find anything negative to say about it. The rawness just adds to the greatness of it all. If you're into the more "mature" side of dogwood go for 'building a better me' or 'matt aragon'. If you're going for ROCK YOUR FACE OFF WITH HARDCORE/PUNK ENERGY go for 'this is not a new album', 'more than conquerors', and last but most definately not least 'seismic'. Don't get me wrong. I love everything put out by dogwood and 'building a better me' was my fav. album by them until 'seismic' came. That album and this one just blew me away completely. The only song on this album that I didn't love was the last song which was 'progression' but all of the album rocks. Buy anything by dogwood if you like punk at all. TRUST ME!!!"
