CD Reviews

One of the coolest dance music albums ever!
Dave Y. | Kennewick, WA USA | 05/23/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Wow! Ok, here's the deal, I'm a Disney nut (so I suppose that makes this a pretty heavily biased review) but I also love great dance music and this album is really cool! If you like dance/techno style music you will love these interpretations of Disney music... even if you're not a big fan of Disney music! This a great CD, a lot of fun, and a worthy spend!"
DDR Disney!

"Ok I usually don't write reviews, but since this one doesn't have very many (plus it's really good), I thought I'd go ahead and give this baby the credit it deserves.

First off, I'm a huge DDR and Disney fan, but never thought in a million years that the two would work together. At all. I seriously thought it was going to be cheesy dance mixes to some poorly done kid's songs, but boy was I wrong.

The songs on this CD are actually full versions from Dance Dance Revolution Disney mixes.

1 - Domino - Mickey Mouse March (Eurobeat Version) **** A more upbeat version of the MMM.

2 - Domino - Macho Duck **** An original track as far as I know.

3 - A-Beat C All Stars - It's a Small World **** It sure beats the original version! I thought this was pretty good mix.

4 - Derrek Simons - Under the Sea ***** Love this mix, there's some great synths in here and has a nice strong beat. After playing Kingdom Hearts, I wanted to punch myself in the face after hearing Under the Sea a thousand times, but this version more than makes up for that. Probably my favorite track of this CD.

5 - King & Queen - Winnie the Pooh *** Nothing too special about this version, but it keeps the pace with the rest of the CD.

6 - Domino - Beauty and the Beast ***** Another great mix from Beauty and the Beast.

7 - Go Go Girls - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious **** Nothing too great about this one either, but I love the way this one ends.

8 - Matt Land - Heigh-Ho *** This is one of those tracks that I have to listen more and learn to love. It's not bad, but it hasn't really grown on me yet.

9 - Dave Rodgers - You'll be in my Heart *** Not really a fan of the original version, and not too much of a fan of this one either. There are some pretty good synths happening though.

10 - Domino - Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo **** Very nice take on this one.

11 - Brian Ice - He Lives in You **** I really don't know what this one's from, but it adds a nice little change of pace.

12 - Domino - Chim Chim Cher-ee **** If you liked Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious chances are you'll like this one a little better.

13 - Mega NRG Man - You've Got a Friend in Me ***** Wonderful remix of the song from 'Toy Story'.

14 - Domino - Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah ***** This mix keeps the same nice and cheery feeling of the original, only with more toe-tapping action.

15 - Dave & Domino - Can You Feel the Love Tonight ***** Another great mix, this time for 'The Lion King'.

16 - Lolita - When You Wish Upon a Star ***** The way this one starts out is amazing, but only gets better with the synths used throughout the song. Pretty cool guitar riffs too.

17 - Domino - Mickey Mouse March (Summertime Extended Version) *** Not too much different than the first track.

If you like Aqua, Captain Jack, J-Pop, Dance, Disney, or DDR then this one is a no-brainer. Keep in mind that the songs here are all pretty high in the BPM range. My friend who is a DJ loves dance music, but he won't even listen to this just cause he hates 'super fast' music.

If you like Dance but don't really like Disney, or vice versa, I would really recommend getting this. You just may learn to love the other : )"
