CD Reviews

The Final Ahem!
Karasu | Hell | 12/10/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"How badly did you want a Song about Suicide to really kick some ass. Well this is it right here. The Final is your best bet for a song about suicide. Written by all the band members, Die, Kaoru, Toshiya, and Shinya. Kyo's beautiful vocals, the behemoth sound of Shinya's drumming, Kaoru's, Totchi's, and Die's just powerful roar of thier fine ESP guitars.

This is actually the first Dir En Grey song I sung before my High School. This is an excellent song to play and it is alot of fun.

Now for the lyrics..

The intention is clear, I stare.... with this left hand, unable to be worded

Everytime I bleed, there lies a reason to live.... And I discover words being so vivid and bright

Even loved ones scatter like petals from flowers in my hand

So even if I engraved the meaning that I lived in my hand, it will only be known as flowers of vanity

The Final

One by one it multiplies... why be a sad bait?

Deep within the hell of my heart... I can't go back

A self-torture loser, not being able to see tomorrow

Suicide is the proof of life

Even loved ones scatter like petals from flowers in my hand

So if I engraved the meaning that I lived in my hand, the petals will just scatter as flowers of vanity

So I can't live

What's lost can't be born again

A song that's not even seeking the proof of living

Let's put an end... The Final

Lets bloom flowers of attempted suicide

See how power this song is. They should put it on the Vulgar cd to juice that up a bit. But nope Kaoru just decided it as a single version.

And with three (live) songs to boot, you won't be disappointed with the Final.

~ Karasu. Dir En Grey obsessed since the age of 9."
