CD ReviewsA great collection wbp | Wilmington, DE USA | 12/04/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "The 30-page booklet which accompanies this 4-cd set is written in both German and English and contains great information about both Lipatti and the pieces in the set. The music was recorded between 1937 and 1950, and while not up to current standards sound-wise, is beautifully performed. Each CD contains between 58 to 62 minutes of music, which makes this a great snapshot of Lipatti as well as quite a bargain. Included are compositions by Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Grieg, Scarlatti, Mozart and Schumann. A great buy."
