Limpid freshness, flawless fingering, subtle lyricism, peerl

"The existence of Lipatti signed by an undeserved fatality, proved he was utterly the most extraordinary pianist of his generation. Nobody like him will play the Partita No. 1, Chopin's Waltzes or Chopin's Sonata No. 3 like he did.

His precision was organically perfect, which means twice perfect. There's no single mistake around any single piece he played. His interpretations are hovered by a cosmic vision and astonishing profundity.

Far away any process of exhibitionism, there is a visible solemnity and sincere wish to go further the origin of the score. Whether Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Mozart or Scarlatti, he always understood with absolute masterful, the last significance of the music.

Every time I listen him, I am conveyed to unexploited horizons, and that gift belongs to just a few.

December 2, 1950 was the mournful day his eyes closed forever.

Long life for that unforgettable genius of the keyboard.
