Slow, intimate, and brilliant, an all-time classic

"This album is amazing! I love all four Dieselhed albums, but have to say that this one is the warmest, subtlest, and most perfect. Slow, semi-acoustic, with intimate, vulnerable vocals and superbly tasteful musicianship, it takes you through gulps, giggles and tonguetiedness, through losses, mishaps, road trips, bouts of drunkenness, evenings of squandering, and wildernesses, then all the way back home. The songs are funny, sad, sarcastic, sincere, ludicrous and believable, sometimes all at once. While "Trucker's Alibi" leans towards pathos and "Futon Song" towards hilarity, songs like "Tying Flies," "Cold Duck" and "Twin Falls" fuse at least several emotions into something that doesn't even have a word in English. I consider it one of the finest albums I have ever heard."
