"The magic and energy that comes thru this mans music is amazing. This record encapsulates the vibration that early rock n roll once had. Dexter manages to combine hardbop jazz with the surf guitar styles of the early sixties. This is a completly new method that he is responsible for.The record contains fiddle on two songs provided by Sonny Meade, once a member of Patsy Cline`s studio band.
This record has no problem picking up where the Jets left off with a positive feel that the Jets had lost several records back. A+ !!"

"Another great Dexter recording, loud and raucous. Definitley worth it, but I wish Dexter had continued with his brilliant work on "Folk Songs" his last release, more reflective and subdued, a work that in 100 years will be regarded as a masterpiece."

"I love this record and I bought one by his earlier band the Flat Duo Jets and I liked them both. Obviously this new album is an evolution of the Flat Duo Jets but there is something authentic about it. There are alot of bands out there right now that call them selves garage rock artists or whatever but this seems very truthful too me. I was very touched by the ballads as well as the rock stuff. Highly recomended."

"Dexter Romweber takes you on a wild ride, spanning multiple genres but culminating them into the same powerful sound we heard from long gone greats like Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent,Johnny Carroll,Chet Atkins, and Django Rienhrdt. Dex may be the only contemporary guitarist/singer that can be classified with these vintaage classics WITHOUT being "retro". The CD contains 18 tunes 95% originals. One awesome cover of Eddie Cochran`s "GUYBO", that completely blew my Wig! Dex is accompanied by some equally talented side musicians including former Patsy Cline fiddle player,"Sonny Meade" on two tracks.
Fans of Dexter`s former band, "The Flat Duo Jets", will be pleased to know that Dex is in awesome form. In my opinion this record out rocks the last few FDJ CDs. Drums and Bongos performed by Sammy "Crash LaResh" Sandler(rockabilly surf drummer supreme)Apparently the two have been playing secret duo gigs for the last 5 years while the Jets were on the outs.
This CD is a must have by any lover of honest gut bucket early backwoods rock n roll!!!!"
