But what hits! ''Isrealites,'' ''007 (Shanty Town),'' ''It Mek,'' wrapped the cool riddems around some glorious pop music to become international hits, all lead by Dekker's high distinctive voice. It was Dekker who introduced Ska to the outside world. He is the ''Desmond'' referred to in The Beatles 1968 ''Ob-La-di, Ob-La-da.'' This collection is comprised of live and studio recordings from 2004, 14 months before his death.
