CD Reviews

Really Good CD!!!

"Well, at first I didn't really think, that I could like this cd. But then, I don't why, listened to it for a couple times, and guess what? I just loved it. Now I know Depswa is an awesome band with an awesome music. So if you're into this music, you know kinda hard rock, nu-metal, then you definitely must get this cd, cause there is a big chance you'll really like it."
Decent, but not the Depswa I remember.

"As an avid follower of underground and unsigned music, I had heard Depswa a couple of years back. I generally liked their music (it was heavy, but chock-full of grooves not heard in most alternative bands' music), especially one song titled Faithless. This song, I beleive, was on their self-released EP. When I heard they'd been signed to Geffen, I rejoiced because I thought that, finally, they'd be able to properly record the songs on their EP. Well, only two songs from the 5 track EP made it and they took a hit in their "oomph" factor. The band's gritty but uplifting approach changed to a more subtle, melodic approach and while it's digestable, especially on a mainstream level, I personally want the old, unsigned Depswa in my CD player. If you like semi-aggressive music in the vain of Default (gag) or Ra (eh), then this is an album for you. If you're like me and wanting to hear the heavy-hitting Faithless, go find their under-produced but slightly better-than-this-debut EP. It's sad that so many promising bands can lose their luster in the transition from self-contained to Contract-contained."
Great voices and instumental work
