"I had the definite pleasure of listening to Among Friends this week - five times through, actually. Smooth songs with an edge, beautiful chordal and melodic changes with guitar playing like butter. It pleases smooth jazz lovers and jazz musicians alike.His compositions, playing and definitely the production take quantum leaps with each CD. Just listen to the arrangements and the phrasing when you get the CD.My favorite cut has to be "I Only Have Eyes For You", the only vocal track. It's the most haunting arrangement of a classic, and the first time I have heard Jiosa's voice. He should do a lot more singing.So when's this guy coming to my area?"

"Great music, I have it as a constant in my CD changer and most afternoons on my drive home from work I crank it up and Y2groove all the way home.I enjoy how the songs have distinctable melodies and seem to take somewhere at every turn. Great playing and probably the best guitar tone of any jazz CD I have in my collection. If you want great jazz, get this and get it now, it will make your drive home great too."

"This new CD by Jiosa is a fantastic package of smooth jazz guitar at its best! Jiosa caresses the tunes with exquisite guitar, clean guitar, and love. "I Only Have Eyes For You" is the best rendition of this song by anyone, anywhere. If this song wasn't a classic before, it is now under Jiosa's rendition. Jiosa's collection of musicians who contribute to the music on this CD is the perfect mix for highlighting Jiosa's talents as a master jazz guitarist and recording artist. While Jiosa's previous CDs have all been excellent, this CD tops them all with its maturity and beautiful sounds. There is nothing to fault on this CD, each listening is a fresh musical experience. Music that comes from the heart and touches the soul. I feel as though I am truly "Among Friends" when I listen to this masterpiece."
