A big band with gusto. I saw all the biggest names, but if I could transport back I would probably pick these guys over my 10' from the stage view of Jimmy Page's guitar solos. Less commercial, but this is music that lasts. No wonder people like Clapton and Leon Russell hung with them, were influenced by them, and influenced them. When they broke up, neither one quite had the touch again. It happens, right Ringo? This cd is what solidly established the band. Soulful rock with a gospel touch: brass section, superb keyboards, great guitar work, and very tight. Powerful vocals and harmony. Quality. You'll swear they are a current band.
