"THIS ALBUM COMPLETELY TOOK ME BY SURPRISE. I FIRST SAMPLED IT AND THEN BOUGHT IT AND HAVE NOT STOPPED PLAYING IT. AWESOME DEEP JAZZ WITH THAT MARCUS JOHNSON "NECK FACTOR" THING GOING ON. SMOOTH, BUT FUNKY AS WELL. A COMBINATION OF RONNY JORDAN, MARCUS JOHNSON, GEORGE HOWARD ALL IN ONE. WELL PUT TOGETHER AND WELL RECORDED TO HEAR ALL THE SUBTLE SOUNDS(A LITTLE DEEP VIBRATING BASS FOR BASS LOVERS)AND JUST A GREAT CD. I WILL BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS ARTIST."

"Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create a hot new name in Smooth Jazz guitar. Take a guy with Detroit roots, raised by a mother who was into Motown and disco and a father who was into jazz. Introduce him at a young age to the music of Wes Montgomery. Give him a guitar for Christmas. Encourage him. Give him the time to mature into a solid professional. There you have it in a nutshell: the recipe for musical success that's led to the first solo Smooth Jazz release for the incredibly talented Dee Brown. NO TIME TO WASTE is a cool breath of fresh funk and grooves on today's Smooth Jazz scene, and already a Top 10 album on the [...] Top 50 Indie Chart. All of Mr. Brown's musical skills... as guitarist, composer, producer, and arranger (and this isn't even his day job -- Dee's a full-time practicing respiratory therapist!) are in ample evidence with this project, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed album "Miracle," which he released in collaboration with sax man Gentry Shelby. On NO TIME TO WASTE, Dee calls on his long-time friend and producer, Gerald Mitchell of Los Hermanos, to help him get a totally innovative sound and that all-important "wow" factor for this project, and it works beautifully! From the first radio single, "Reunited," to the tasty title track, Dee Brown's NO TIME TO WASTE sparkles with exactly the bright, funky energy he was shooting for. This is great stuff! ~SCOTT O'BRIEN"
