I used to play it often when I wanted to relax and be peaceful. The unhurried approach of this orchestra and flute soloist allows the listener to luxuriate in the beautiful sounds and peaceful flow of Prelude A L'apres-midi D'un Faune (Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun). This track alone is worth buying the recording for. Fortunately, Daphnis and Chloe is also great - more fiery and emotional, as is La Mer. If you prefer classical music that isn't weighed down with sadness but shows love, happiness, and wonder - this is it.Note: This is a review of the LP performance. I have not heard the sound of the CD yet; but this performance is so good, I wanted it to have a review here."
