Synopsis

Album Description
Japanese pressing. Roadrunner Records Japan presents Death's sonic masterpiece, Symbolic, remastered for the first time with 5 previously unreleased bonus tracks. The release of Symbolic marks the relaunch of Roadrunner's remasters series. When fans talk about Death and its late founder, pioneering singer/guitarist/songwriter Chuck Schuldiner, they focus on any number of things: Chuck's insane, tortured, growling vocals, widely imitated to this day; his tuned-down, brutally heavy guitar sound; his intricate and technical style of playing, which grew in complexity by leaps and bounds on every album; and his obsessive quest for the highest musical standards. Comes with four additional instrumental bonus tracks. Roadrunner. 2008.

CD Reviews

Greatest Human Achievment of all Time
J. Hilden | Texas | 07/10/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Colonization of another planet will mean nothing compared to the greatness of this musical composition."
Best metal album of all time
G. Miller | 01/06/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This shows the more progressive side of Death in their later years. This is the album where Chuck Schuldiner decided to go into a different vocal direction with a higher pitched growl rather than the lower end gutteral vocals. Every song is impressive in it's musicianship and each song is unpredictible with speed and riff changes, yet still very easy to remember. This is one of my all time favorite metal albums with one of my all time favorite drummers. If you want an awesome progressive death metal album, check this masterpiece out."
