Synopsis

Album Description
Award-winning songwriters Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Junie B. Jones and the upcoming Ever After) celebrate the off-Broadway arrival of their beguiling charmer DEAR EDWINA.  Featuring an all-star cast headed by Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins), Danny Burstein (South Pacific), Andrea Burns (In the Heights) and Terrence Mann (Beauty and the Beast), this sweet, smart and tuneful block party chronicles the adventures of Edwina Spoonapple, advice-giver extraordinaire, who wows her neighbors in Paw Paw, Michigan, via original musical extravaganzas performed in her own garage.  Marcy and Zina ? described by critics as ?the most gifted new writing team of their musical theatre generation? and ?fresh, bright, witty and accessible? ? have gathered some of the best talent around for their own New York block party, and you?re invited to join the fun!

CD Reviews

Terrific musical for kids (and parents)
NYC reader | 04/17/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This a wonderful show about manners (and piggy banks) that somehow manages to be witty without being preachy or condescending. Highlights: "Knife, Fork Spoon", "Fankenguest" and "RSVP". Highly recommend!"
Major manners for minors

"This is a perfectly charming musical solution to modern etiquette that isn't just table manners, but how to get along in today's world. The music is so diverse as is the approach, that there's a style for everyone.

Please and thank-you is a good start and this takes you beyond that with a sense of humor and common sense.
