CD Reviews

7/26/2005 The Massacre (Not 50 Cent)
J. Connelly | F.L.I.N.T MICHIGAN | 07/27/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is mostly dayton's old Gangsta rhythms

& Lyrics about drugs, and jackin people. They keep there style, and its the best album they have had! There are also more up beat and Crunk songs such as A$$ Whoop, and Calico. They also Got Artist like Kurupt, Billy Smokes, Capone, and Cornmega + More. Its too bad they have not blown up like they should... i mean i went to both Best Buy & Circuit City IN FLINT (where they are from) and nethier place had it. If these guys had some airtime on BET OR MTV they would be huge in the streets, but unfortunetly they are stuck with word of mouth. This cd can be banged from 1 to 19. If you like anything from there other albums Welcome to the Dopehouse, F.B.I, & What's On My Mind, then you definately want this! 5/5"
Them Dayton Boys' Are Back!
O.C.T. TX | Dallas, TX USA | 09/25/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Finally the Dayton Family have released a new album. I was surprised to see this album in stores (I found it at Best Buy here in Dallas). I don't even bother to tell people about this group anymore since I got tired of all the crazy looks people gave me after I told them about Dayton Family. They are very underrated and are unnoticed by BET & MTV. Family Feud should be a good album to bump for all rap fans. The group really shines on the second half of the album with songs like Ass Whoop, Reckless, Dayton N****z, and Can't Get Out. Bootleg and Shoestring continue to drop hardcore (by today's commercial rap standards) rhymes on many songs. Guests include MC Breed, Cormega, and Capone. I just wish the radio stations would play Dayton Family's music so they could make it big. I no longer see this album in stores, Best Buy had a few copies of it then I stopped seeing them. So if you can manage to find this CD, pick it up!"
Classic TDF

"Bootleg and Shoestring returned to classic form with this album. Much better than Welcome to the Dopehouse. WOMM and FBI are still better. How 50 Cent sells millions of albums and these guys don't I'll never know. TDF is 10 times better than 50 could ever hope to be. I guess like life, it's all who ya know.

Chevy's is my favorite track (mainly because I roll in a big black chevy blazer). Everything's Chicken (but the bone) is my second fav. The rest of the tracks roll in at #3. No song is weak in my opinion, I wouldn't skip any tracks on this CD, just keep going back to Chevy's a ton of times.

A must have!"
