Synopsis

Album Description
Terror has given birth to a violent breed of harsh EBM from Los Angeles! Dawn of Ashes is the fastest-rising and most brutal act to step forward into the dark electro scene in some time. Based on a wide swath of hatred, violence, and horror, this group will make sure that fans tear up the dance floor. Formed in 2001, Dawn of Ashes has appeared on many compilations and toured around the West Coast region. Through the years there have been constant changes and progressions, and the group now consists of original member Khris along with Joe Tekk and Bahemoth. There are not too many EBM artists out there willing to be this brutal and disturbing. Now signed to Noitekk and COP International, Dawn of Ashes is ready to be released into this vile world. Their debut promises hard powerful tracks full of thick bass lines, distorted beats, and hellish vocals. Horror has a new face!

"A brilliant album brooding with hatred. This album goes for the jugular from the word go and doesnt release its grip. highly recommended for all fans of darkness, horror and unrelenting hate."

"This is really cool debut album by this EBM band from Los Angelas, CA., with a brutal sound. The first and the last tracks are my favorite songs on the album. If your a DJ looking to spice up your set, there are a few potential club hits just waiting to be discovered. Recommended for fans of Suicide Cammando, and Distorted Memory."
Of Aliens and Things...or mostly Aliens

"Like Harsh EBM? Like the Alien movies? Then you have a match made in heaven. At least that is what hooked me first. I heard "Abyss" and appreciated the use of the sample from "Alien Resurrection" (then purchased the album and found it wasn't the only time an Alien film showed up). The sample is fun and well used, and as catchy a chorus as anything else heard here in addition. Heavy horror themes and heavy pumping songs with excellent production. This is another album that starts out strong and then stays there throughout. Lyrics can be a kick, though I prefer when they feel more like a persona rather than being simply hateful or spiteful, and am thankful that the album seems to do that. How can we not laugh along with titles like "Disgraceful Treason" or "Maximum Damnation" (in which the phrase is repeated over and over)? Great fun, like a well made horror film that actually cares about what horror fans crave and then delivers. If you're looking for slow moody numbers, this isn't the album for you. But if you want to get up and dance to the sounds of damnation (maximum, one presumes), then look no further. Similar to Tactical Sekt in its consistent excellence."
