Disc 1, labelled, "Early", kicks off with a choon New York radio caned to death, AIN'T NO STOPPIN US NOW. Thankfully Nuphonic spare us from the radio edit and remind us of why we love this song. Loose Joints follows on track 2 with IS IT ALL OVER MY FACE. Labelled "Late", disc two delights. On it you'll find the superb classic, MYSTERY OF LOVE (Instrumental) by Fingers, Inc. Just when you are getting over that musical high, we are blessed with Ten City's DEVOTION (Bam Bam's house mix). Right song, right mix! With Marshall Jefferson on production and Byron Stingly on vocals, they can do no wrong. THIS is house music! "David Manusco was famous for his 'house party' at the 'Loft', a place where dancing, food, light and exellent music all blend together (see the book "Last night a dj saved my life"). He was even more famous for not mixing the tunes, but just play them from start till end.This compilation of 'forgotten' disco, funk and early house tunes showes that his dj-style is understandable if you have the right grooves. A perfect set of cd's, for dancin' as well as for listening."
