CD Reviews

Dave Nachmanoff's "Distance" worth a close look!

"I have seen Dave perform live in several concerts when he toured with Al Stewart on the East Coast between 2004-2006. Dave is one of the best Acoustical guitar players around and always makes a considerable impression regarding his ability. He usually leads off the evening by presenting about five songs that he wrote and recorded. Recently, he played so well in a Winter fest concert in New Hope, Pennsylvania, that it led to additional private gigs and I overheard comments from audience members who had not known him respond in amazement as he began to play the tune with the guitar behind his head. This Album is one of his best. It contains the popular tune "The Loyalist" and the title track is excellent. All of the 11 recordings you get here will be entertaining and he is also the type of guy to throw in a humorous song here or there and on this one, "Let's Eat" is a good example. I higly recommend Dave. He is a bright young folk talent and is gaining fans rapidly. A man with his future ahead of him.He will be touring in Europe with Al in the fall of '06 and part of '07, where he will no doubt become even more popular in England and Germany. If you do not know his work, I highly suggest this album."
Incredible songs performed incredibly

"This is still my favorite album from Dave. The title track starts the record off beautifully. "Ghost in the Attic" is haunting and lovely, and the guitar is every bit as important a voice in this song as Dave's beautiful singing. Every song on this album is amazing, and his guitar work will blow you away. If you only buy one of Dave's records, this is the one I recommend."
