"This is the xrcd version of Dave Grusins masterpiece on Sheffield Labs Direct to Disc series. I have both the Sheffield 20-bit remastered and this one, and I must say that the Sheffield CD is a better recording. I really can't understand it since I have several other xrcd's and these recordings are superb, and since I paid 2x more for the xrcd, I expected it to sound better than the Sheffield.Make no mistake, the recording is still great, but comparing it to the Sheffield remaster, I will pick the latter.About the only improvement of the xrcd version is the case, which is a digipack and has an excellent, audiophile appeal.Thats the reason for the 4 stars."
