"I usually don't like jazz, but this CD is different. The mix of melodic styles makes you want to dance to some of the numbers, while other pieces are simply pleasurable listening. You can listen to this music and enjoy it anywhere, at home or in the car."

"I certainly enjoyed listening to Focus. Dave Baker's latest effort incorporates a diverse compliment of styles and moods into his presentation. His effort is a natural progression from Dance Of The Iguana, with superb compositions, and rich arrangements. Focus is an obvious result of the dedication and passion that Dave has for his music. As a guitarist he has matured significantly, and when combined with his unique and skilful technique, you have a musical experience that must be experienced in order to be truly appreciated!"

"Your new CD is so much more than the last one. My absolute favorite song is #8, Focus. I love the guitar playing and the beat is great. My second best is #3, You've Got Me Now, because it has a very soothing and pretty melody. The drums that Bob plays are fantastic as well as the piano parts played by Deni. I also enjoy #7, especially the guitar solo part, #9 which sounds so full and the musicians sound so tight and #11 which has a great beat and great quick changes on guitar."
